Edinburgh-based clā contemporary makes not all, but mostly ceramic jewelery. Each piece is hand-crafted by artist Chelsea Adams. Themes follow simple lines and textures, with subtle colour choices. She has two Etsy stores, the main clā contemporary shop, plus clā stock, where you can pick up a taste of her style for under £15. You can also follow her on her blog, where, among other things, I just saw a couple of delicious-looking recipes!

Hier Apparel is one of those Etsy labels that kind of defies all description. Here is someone truly making what they love, without following trends, and doing a marvelous job. The aesthetic is… organic sci-fi? Minimalist artisanal? Bohemian couture? I give up… Go see it for yourself! Based in Chicago, but of course you can buy it online from her Etsy store. You can also read about her as an Etsy featured seller.

Not just any bracelet, the Peace Bomb bracelet is made from reclaimed artillery metal dropped on Laos during conflicts in the late sixties and early seventies. The bracelets (there are two styles and also garden-marker spoons) are made by local artisans and part of the buy back the bombs initiative to raise money for clearing unexploded ordnance and awareness to ban cluster munitions. Purchase also supports local communities and independent artisans. Yay!
